Adele is Back
Adele’s new song “Hello”
British hit maker and singer/songwriter Adele is back and she is back with a vengeance. After taking a three year break since releasing her megahit “Skyfall” the theme song to the James Bond movie with the same title, in 2012, Adele fell out of the music scene. Many of her fans wondered when Adele would return and some even wondered if she would ever return. However, to her many fans joy and relief, Adele is back and her new hit song “Hello” is another sure to be chart topper. Hello was released just last month on October 23, 2015 as a single for her third album which is yet to be released.
Adele’s single “Hello” has been universally praised and has reached chart topping status in the UK and quickly reached No. 1 in many other countries. Since coming back from her hiatus, “Hello” has broken sales records and her inspirational video has reached over 27 million viewers within a 24 hour period which is a record in itself. The previous record was held by the current queen of pop, Taylor Swift for her chart topper song “Bad Blood” which had over 20 million views on Vevo in the same period since its release. That Adele took the record and broke it by almost another 7 million viewers cannot be understated. Adele also took the record for the shortest timeframe on Vevo for a song to be viewed by 100 million people. Fans love Adele, that much is clear. Adele in interviews had admitted to being out of the music scene because of creativity issues, namely having writer’s block. She got out of her funk after working with music producer Greg Kurstin and from that working relationship, Adele was able to get back into the creative mode that made her so successful in the past. If Hello is any indication of what is to come, all critics, music fans around the world agree that her upcoming album 25, dues to be released on November 20, 2015 will likely be a huge commercial success. Hello Adele, and welcome back.
