At this point it is very safe to say Drake is one of the most influential talents in all of music. From his label Cash Money being a hip hop super power, to being connected at the hip with artists such as Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. Drake born Audrey Drake Graham born and raised in the vibrant city Toronto across the border in Canada. Drake has become an incredibly popular artist, rapper, singer, songwriter, actor and record producer.

He come from a very musical family his father Dennis Graham was a drummer who worked with the great Jerry Lee Lewis. His father’s relatives are also musicians, and his father is of African American decent while his mother is Jewish Canadian. After his parents went through a nasty divorce Drake experienced two very different lives, one being with his other who lived in a upper-class part of Toronto. The other being with his father who essentially lived in the Hood in Memphis. He witnessed his father being arrested before he was incarcerated on two separate occasions the first time for two years, the second time for three years. Drake credits his parents’ divorce to forcing him to become a man at a very young age, he has often said he grew up much faster than he wanted to.

He has been one of the hottest tickets in the world since releasing his first album and cites his influences being the Hip Hop mogul Jay-Z, Kanye West, Aaliyah and his mentor and best friend Lil Wayne. He has stated more than one time he wants to be as successful as Jay Z but would like to be just as big as a musical genius as Kanye West the person who he believes in the most talented artist in the world.

Drake has a style of his own, his songs have great lyrics with incredibly beats and a very emotional undertone. His words touch your heart, and appeal to people of all ages. He is an avid sports lover often being seen as NBA games all across the United States. And being made a brand ambassador by the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association.
