Taylor Swift

An American singer, songwriter and actress. She is one of the most recognizable voices in the world, she has a crazed fan following and is known infamously for writing a ton of songs about ex-boyfriends, as well as broken hearts. Taylor has never been shy of boys dating some huge celebrities from all over the globe including One Direction lead man Harry Styles. She is best known for her country music, but also pop, and country pop have been added to her arsenal over the past few years.

In 2014 Swift released her latest album titled 1989 which showed marked her full transition into pop. 1989 featured only one song written by Swift, the remaining 12 songs were co-written with Martin, Antonoff, Shellbeck, Ryan Tedder, Ali Payami, and Imogen Heap. Her album was described by some critics as an album “driven by synths and drums in lieu of guitar.” Swift also publically stated this was her first and official pop release, this album came with some mixed feelings for her as she had to part ways with long time members of her band.

Swift is famous for going to all lengths of the world to first protect her online image, and secondly her music. She had her entire collaboration of music removed from the famous music streaming service Spotify because she stated they did not pay her enough. She has also been very vocal about copyrighting music and has stated several times, she believes everyone should have to pay for her music opposed to being able to download it for free off the internet. It has also been most recently reported that Swift will not put her music on Apples new music streaming service which releases shortly called Apple Music.

Swift is one of the most highly endorsed singers in the world, having lucrative endorsement deals with Wal-Mart, Verizon Wireless, American Greetings, and Jakks Pacific dolls to name a few.
